Located in the city of Tripoli (Lebanon) on the Mediterranean coast. It was constructed to be one of the three main stadiums where the final Asian Cup 2000 was held.
A beautiful design was urgently required by the Lebanese Sports & Youth Ministry to replace the suggested steel cover design. PRAT-SA of France, a specialist structural fabric design firm, took responsibility for the new design, which met with the satisfaction of the ministry.
The design consisted of 13 cantilever steel models covered with PVDF fabric. The cover length is 169lm with a depth of 30m, a width of 13m a height of 45m.
